Official Bio
Jennifer England has been a senior executive and non-profit leader for over two decades, widely recognized for her ability to influence systems change in the field of gender equality, justice, Indigenous rights, and wellness.
After graduating from Queen’s University, she assisted with climate change research on an Ellesmere Island, to fund travel and volunteer work in Central America. Pursuing further academic work with Dr. Gerry Pratt—a blend of feminist theory and action research—she took a scholarship Master’s Degree in Geography at the University of British Columbia.
Taking a break from academia, Jennifer was the Program Coordinator for the largest women’s center in Western Canada in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, supporting its expansion as a progressive, low-barrier space.
A short summer later, she was offered the Director of the Women’s Directorate for the Government of Yukon leading a growing team to increase funding to non-profit organizations, new social housing builds, LGBTQ2S+ legislation and innovations for victims of sexualized violence over 15 years.
During this time, she pursued her Master level certification from Integral Coaching Canada™, one of the world’s leading accredited coaching schools. In 2019, she became a full-time leadership strategist and coach with her company, Spark Coaching + Consulting. She is the lead coach and teacher of Becoming, host of the Weave podcast, and collaborative leader with BraveSpark- the Wild Topography of Leadership.
